Signal number NC30 is the Up Starting signal at New Cumnock. Co-acting semaphore arms are provided due to the presence of an overbridge on the approach to the signal. The arm at the top of the post is for long distance viewing above the bridge, while the lower arm is provided for close-up viewing. (Photo taken 27 April 2006.)
