A 'remote platform starting signal' identification sign mounted below the "5 Car Stop" marker at the west end of Bishopbriggs station. This identifies the signal ahead, number CE45, as a remote platform starting signal. Drivers must not draw the train up to this signal if it is at 'danger', but must remain at the station and use the telephone on the platform to communicate with the signalman.
